Memorial
Scholarship
The Battle Ground Saddle Club offers its youth members sponsorships for 4-H Horse and Pony Club activities and scholarships to help support activities to improve youth members' horsemanship . The Memorial Scholarship Fund is made possible by generous donations in honor of Duke and Bethel Sheets, Herb and Lois Christopher, Kim Dimmick, and Marilyn Auth and other BGSC fundraising activities.
To be eligible to request sponsorships or scholarships, applicants must be members of the Battle Ground Saddle Club, either within a family membership or as individual Junior members.
4-H Sponsorships
Sponsorships for 4-H Horse and Pony Club can be requested from BGSC treasurer Mandy Bol.
Other Activities to Improve Horsemanship
Other activities might include horse camps, riding clinics or other events that meet the goal of improving the horsemanship skills of our youth members. Applicants for financial support must complete the Application for Battle Ground Saddle Club Memorial Scholarship. We recommend that the application be emailed to mandy@kbogroup.com at least 10 days in advance of the event to provide the Executive Committee time to review the application. Applications submitted after the event will not be considered.
It is also recommended that the email include marketing material or other information that describes the horsemanship-related activity.
Applications, award amounts and number of scholarships will be determined by the Saddle Club Executive Committee.
