Your BG-saddleclub group at Yahoo! Groups is good to go.
In a few days or sooner, you will be receiving an "Invitation" from rita@bg-sc.com to join the saddle club group. You will need to click on the link provided (within the time frame it allows, 30 days) and follow the instructions from yahoo. You may need to ‘register' for a yahoo ID, but that is free and painless.
This is NOT going to replace the list@bg-sc.com email list that Don maintains for important notes to the saddle club website.
This will be a general group discussion list for everyone in the membership with email! Topics related to horses, travel, finding riding buddies, how to questions, trail rides hosted by other organizations, horse shows, tack sales, clinics, anything club related or even a little bit of not club related. I'm hoping it will be a way to get everyone more involved with the overall enjoyment of the club without always being together as a group. "Online email" discussions can take place with everyone who's a member of the group online.
There will be no fighting, flaming, or name calling allowed! Everyone must play nice or get thrown out of the playground! The list owner (Rita Lockridge) will have the final say!
Members can do many things!!
Files: If you have a file that you'd like to share (trail map, informative document, etc) upload it easily into the file section.
Photos: Members can create file folders with their own pictures. Upload them into a folder you can create and add pictures to. It's an easy way to share photos without sending a large file to everyone by email!
So, when your invitation comes by email, follow the links and join the club discussion group. Almost all topics will be there! Hope to see you soon!
