Battle Ground Saddle Club
Fundraising via eBay donations
From collectibles to cars, buy and sell all kinds of items on eBay

The saddle club is always working on fundraising for club functions, events and expenses.
Everything from club sponsored meals to stamps for the newsletters needs to be funded.

Everybody has treasure buried in the back of their closet.  Clean out and donate to the club.
A new fundraising idea is for people to donate items for sale on eBay.

There are two options:

  1. 100% donation:  For smaller items considered less than $100.
    For example:
Old Atari games, Nintendo, movie projectors, slide projectors, old cameras, Vue-Master, old AM radios, older toys like Tonka trucks, old comic books, science glass (beakers, etc.)
Unused or good clean vintage car or motorcycle parts.  Office stuff like a transcriber or FAX.
Smaller horse items like unneeded bits, halters, etc, still in good condition.

  2. 15% Consignment:  For larger items, like a saddle, considered more than $100

With 100% donated items, all the profit after fees will be donated to the Saddle Club.
With consignment items, 15% of the sale goes to the Saddle Club and the remainder after fees is returned to the donator.  Email and a PayPal account are ideal for this option, but cash is ok.

Items will be posted on eBay under my xr650l account.  If an item does not sell in the first week, it will be relisted at a lower price.  If it is a 100% donation item and it still does not sell, it will then be donated to the GoodWill or returned.  If it is a consignment item, it will be returned to the owner. LE will take care of all item write-up, payments and shipping arrangements.  Contact don@bg-sc.com about where to donate an item.  Pickup is possible if in the Lafayette area.

Not all items are suitable for eBay.  Usually, eBay things are mailed in a normal box (like an Atari Game or Saddle), or large and valuable to make local pickup economical (like a car).  Large low value items, like a couch or refrigerator, will not be accepted since they cannot be practically shipped.

Lockridge Enterprises (Don and Rita ;) will take care of all selling, payments, shipping, etc.
All the donator has to do is donate.

While not exactly a sellable part of the fundraising, we are always in need of packaging material.  Currently, we have a very good supply of boxes.  But, are short on packing peanuts, bubble wrap and such stuffing.  If you or where you work needs to get rid of some packing peanuts or other padding, let me know: don@bg-sc.com
